On April 12th, community members will come together in the Cracker Factory (Geneva, NY) to celebrate immigration with a moderated panel discussion on the topic and a Salvadorian meal (7-9pm), followed by an after party with a salsa band (9pm-12am).
The event supports two youth groups associated with the Rural & Migrant Ministry, Inc.: Justice Organization of Youth (JOY), and Adelante Student Voices. JOY members, largely from farmworker backgrounds, use theater to advocate for social justice. Adelante members form a network of undocumented youth in upstate New York who seek educational equity.
The event offers the opportunity to support both programs in a public forum. Hope you can join for an evening of celebration!!
