Come enjoy a night of great food, live music, dancing, a silent auction, and other fun....all in support of The School of Hope in Guatemala!

Education for the Children USA is a 501(c)3 that supports the School of Hope in Jocotenango, Guatemala. Our goal for 2019 is raise the funds necessary to repair our school building - and you can help us do this simply by enjoying a great evening of fun and food! EFTC USA helps the School of Hope provide a quality bilingual education, nutrition, medical care, mental health support, career counseling, a library, safe housing, scholarships, and clean water to over 650 students and their families. We ensure that all of these services are provided in support of our students' education...and we do it all without charging our students or families tuition!

Clearly, this is a huge undertaking that requires a lot of work and effort on the part of foundation employees and volunteers. We're very proud of the work that we do, but always recognize that the work is never done. Of greatest importance and need this year is the physical structure of our school. We built the school nearly 10 years ago, and since then the building has served thousands of students, sending them off into the world to break the cycle of poverty in their communities thanks to their high-quality education. But as you can imagine, 10 years and thousands of elementary and middle school students can take a toll on a building! At this point, we are in desperate need of repairing our student bathrooms. We have plans to replace twenty toilets and twenty sink faucets, as well as new bathroom stalls, installing a tile floor and walls, and providing the supplies our students need to maintain their health and hygiene.

For this reason, we're dedicating our first annual Upstate New York Dinner for EFTC USA to repairing the bathrooms at the School of Hope. It might not be the most glamorous of issues, but it's vital. Join us for a night of good food (catered by The New Hall Diner), great live music and dancing (provided by The Swooners), a silent auction, and other fun - all in the beautiful Cracker Factory! The Cracker Factory will be offering a cash bar during the event!
